Couple new project I'm working on!

Here's a couple of dollies I've been working on:  another little Izannah and attempting a papier mache from 1850 for the Whaley House museum.  We're a little low on dollies in the nursery there so I thought I'd try to perk it up.  Alas, the empress as yet has no clothes, just a humble chemise.  A fabulous gown is my next project!

  6. Beautiful!!! Both of them are gorgeous. I love the Izannah's little face and expression. And the curls on that paper mache are incredible. It's great to see some Robin dolls!

  7. Robin - They are simply and elegantly wonderful. As always, I love your work.
It is coming on to Hallowe'en and my Ghostly Annabelle of the Whaley House doll has reminded me that she is hankering for an Izannah-inspired sister-doll. After seeing the marvelous long curled papier mache type you've developed, she may have to opt for an older sister type.

  8. Hi Patra! I almost forgot about poor Annabelle! Well, this particular papier mache type is actually going into the Whaley House. I'm still working on her garment. We had a dress that MAY have been the Whaley daughter's wedding gown, but no documentation. Unfortunately, the outer satin gown has completely disintegrated, leaving only the foundation fabrics. So I used the wonderful laces and polished cream cotton that was left for a wedding gown for the doll in this post. Will post photos when she's all done.

I'm really happy with how she's turning out so I think I'll attempt another of this type, to haunt someone else's house!
