Newest Izannah Walker style doll

Sold
Here is my latest Izannah Walker style doll!

She's 18 inches tall, completely hand made from cloth and paperclay.  I never use molds, and she's hand sculpted using photographs of original Izannah Walker dolls.
She comes with TWO dresses! Both are completely handsewn in the period correct manner. No shortcuts taken on clothing.  Both dresses are made from early 19th century reproduction cotton, which has been treated to convey an antique patina.

Her blue dress features three growth pleats in the skirt, and short puffed sleeves.
She comes with complete underpinnings; drawers, petticoat and chemise.  All are removeable.
She's available for sale through this site.  If you are interested in purchasing her, have any questions or wish to see additional photographs, please email me:  robinseggbleu@yahoo.com
Thanks so much for taking a peek at her!

  3. Amazing doll, Robin. She is the BEST YET! I say that every time, but it's always true. I love that you're getting exactly the look and feel of the old Izannahs, without using a mold. Your hands just know how to sculpt and paint and create and sew what you see. Since they are completely OOAK, including the sculpt, they are extra special, in my opinion. AND, I love the fabrics on those dresses!

Have we met before? I am so glad you commented so I could visit you.A very Happy New Year.
Oh my, she is spectacular, well done! Your costume is perfect! I tried to do a Walker like stocking doll years ago, and it was not meant to be. I have seen Sheri Lutz make some wonderful dolls, she had a class on Izannah Walker style. Do you know of her? You are a wonderful artist Robin. I will be back!

  25. Your fabrics are beautiful. Where do you buy them? I found a room at Rosie's Calico Cupboard on El Cajon Blvd that has a large collection of reproduction fabrics but at $9yd, I can't buy there very often. I have gotten some nice yardage on sale tho.
